The Miami International Torah & Science Conference

Conference Mission

Have scientists discovered G-d? Is Judaism’s belief in free will compatible with concepts of genetic predestination?

How does biblical Creation relate to the theory of evolution? What does the Torah have to say about the environment?

Can one effectively practice medicine without taking the soul into account? Is the practice of psychotherapy consistent with the Torah perspective of behavioral patterns? Are the laws of modern economics compatible with the laws of the Torah? Is there a geopolitical system inherent in Divine Law?

The purpose of the Miami International Torah and Science Conference is to address these and many other questions relating to the interface of Torah and science…natural sciences, social sciences, medical sciences, and environmental science. To this end, the conference brings together distinguished scholars and top experts from diverse fields to present their work and participate in active and intellectually stimulating discussion on a wide array of topics.

The Miami International Torah and Science Conference is attended by fellow scholars and scientists, quality professionals, rabbis, students, and the general public.

The Miami International Torah & Science Conference; sponsored by The Shul, Program in the Study of Spirituality at Florida International University, and B’Or Ha’Torah Journal of Science, Art & Modern Life in the Light of the Torah; is free of charge and open to the public.
